5 Ways to Save Money at the Grocery Store

Written by SMC for www.mysocialmedia.network

Everyone buys food but the high cost of groceries can leave some people frustrated. With some simple planning ahead, you can save money and save yourself the frustration of yet another trip to the grocery store that ends with a cart full of food that does not make a meal.

Check the Sales

Grocery Store
Most grocery stores put out a weekly sale paper that lists what is discounted for the week. You can check your favorite store or easily compare all the local stores to see who has the best deals. These are also available online and there are apps that make it super easy to compare deals. Make a list of everything on sale that you would want to buy.

Many stores run great promotions that you wouldn’t otherwise know about, such as several buy one get one free items, or a mix and match sale where you buy a certain number of different items and receive a large discount. This is a great way to stock your cabinets for less.

Prioritize Cooking

Cooking is key to saving money on food. A lot of people claim they don’t have the time, but there are simple ways around that so you can save time and money.

Meal prep is something that has really taken off lately. You spend a few hours on the weekend cooking, portion out meals for the rest of the week, and don’t have to worry about what to eat. This is especially great if you’re not at home for long periods of time, and it will save you money if you take lunch to work.

Another invaluable way to cook when you’re pressed for time is slow cooking. Place all of the ingredients for dinner inside a slow cooker before work and come home to a delicious aroma and dinner prepared.

You can also simply make time to cook, prioritizing making dinner over binge-watching a show or some outside activity. Easier said than done for most, and unavoidable if work keeps you late. However, cooking is one of the best investments you can make for your health and your wallet.

Plan Ahead

Take the list of food you made from the sale paper and decide how you can use each item. If chicken thighs are on sale, figure out how many meals you can make out of them and pick a recipe to use. Pay close attention to the produce and meat sales, as those are the best things to plan your meals around and can often be the most expensive items when not on sale. Produce is often on sale when it’s in season, so take advantage of this to eat the freshest fruits and vegetables.

If you focus on what dinners you can make, you can cook enough for leftovers to cover lunch as well. Do not forget to buy food for breakfast and snacks too, as getting hungry throughout the day usually results in eating out often, which is more money in the long run.

The best part about planning ahead? You always have plans when your family starts asking what is for dinner.

Pasta, Dry Goods, Grocery Store
Stock Up
As mentioned above, take advantage of special promotions in order to purchase more things you and your family use often. This is great for canned foods, dry goods like pasta and rice, frozen foods    (as well as household items such as toilet paper and shampoo).

If you fill your cabinets with extra items like this, you always have something to make for dinner. Use ground meat and leftover vegetables from the fridge with some canned tomatoes and rice, and you have an easy and delicious casserole.

Coupons

You do not need to be an extreme “couponer” to save money. If you want to save a lot of money at the grocery store, coupons are not the way to go unless you have a lot of extra time to look for them. Spend a couple of minutes as you’re browsing the sale papers to clip any coupons that are for items you will use.

The idea behind coupons is to entice people to purchase something they might not have otherwise bought by offering a discount. Take advantage of this if it’s for a new product you’d like to try or it’s a product you already use only. Otherwise, you’re not saving money: you’re spending more than you would have despite the discount.

If you’re lucky, you can find coupons for free products, which is an even better way to try new things. So use coupons, but don’t spend too much time tracking them down. Extreme couponing is extremely unrealistic and requires way too much of an investment.

With these tips, you can save a ton of money at the grocery store. Plan to cook, buy most of your items on sale, and keep extra purchases to a minimum. This also means don’t shop hungry and leave impulse items on the shelf. Stocking up reduces the number of items you need to purchase regularly. With enough practice, you can buy a substantial amount of food and save large amounts of money, as well as feed yourself and your family well.

How to Turn Your Home into a Smart Home

Written by RDK for www.mysocialmedia.network

With so many advances in science today, you can add features to your residence that will make life so much simpler for you and your entire family. By using smart technology, you can now pre-program  repetitive tasks so that they’re done automatically for you.

Custom Lighting – You can set your interior lights to turn on and off at specific times. For example, if you get up at the same time every morning, your bedroom and other household lights can switch on as you’re getting up. They can also shut off every night at the same time. You can have motion activated lights that turn on when you enter a space and turn off when you leave. Or, if you prefer, your lighting can be voice activated.

Thermostat Control – You can program your thermostat to auto-adjust your interior temperature. For example, when nobody’s at home, you don’t need your heat or air conditioning coming on as often. Your thermostat can lower the temperature in your home at bedtime and raise the temperature when you get up in the morning without you having to adjust the settings manually.

Window Shade Controls – You can program your shades to open when you want to get up in the morning and to close when the sun sets. It is also possible to raise or lower all of your window shades at once with the touch of a button. You can do it while inside your home, or you can do it remotely with your cell phone. This feature not only saves you a lot of time, but you can make your residence look as if someone is there even when you’re not home.

irrigation system, home, sprinklers
Automatic Irrigation – You can set your irrigation system to do more than merely shut on and off at specific times. Because of advances in technology, you can program your sprinklers to shut off when it’s raining. You can also set your irrigation system to monitor the moisture in the soil to save water. When the ground is still moist and doesn’t need watering, the sprinklers won’t switch on.

Technology is evolving quickly, and with all the advances, homeowners no longer need to do repetitive, mundane tasks. By including smart technology in your residence, you can free up more time, increase your home’s value, and make life less stressful for everyone.

How to sell Your Home Fast - Some Simple Tips

Written by LJP for www.mysocialmedia.network

Selling your home fast is no easy feat. It requires far more legwork than just listing it with an agent and waiting for buyers to start calling you. Aside from finding the right agent, you need to consider whether or not it is the right time to sell your home. If the housing market signals a seller's market, you shouldn't have too much trouble if you have the right agent. If it is a buyer's market, well you better pull up your bootstraps and get to work educating yourself on the current trends in the housing market.

Set the Stage

Start by painting a picture. Envision what buyers want to see when they first pull up to your home. Ask yourself some simple questions about your house. Does my home have curb appeal? Will buyers see their families living here? Does my house have a "warm appeal," or does it give off a cold and damp vibe? Do I need to tidy up or should I get down to the nitty-gritty and "clutter bust" my home?

It should go without saying that you need to clean your home thoroughly before you put it on the market. You'd be surprised to learn though just how many people don't clean their homes before they list it for sale. Realtors point to a specific seller mindset when they face this dilemma. "My house speaks for itself, so I really don't need to go the distance and get involved in a full-on deep clean." Don't fall into this trap. You should clean every nook and cranny in your home from top to bottom.

Asking Price

Sellers often make the mistake of pricing their homes too high. In many cases, sellers let their emotions get in the way and think their homes are worth more than what the market says it is worth. If you want to move your home fast, you cannot let your emotional attachment override reason and logic.

You must find the right asking price based on comparable sales in your neighborhood and what the housing market is saying at that time. What you think your house is worth is just not enough. If you overprice your home, it will sit on your realtor's list of properties for sale for an awfully long time.

Negotiation Power

Some of the best negotiators are realtors. As bids on your home start to come in, your realtor will immediately start negotiating. What are you going to do if there are contingency clauses in the buyer's bid? What if the buyer sends you an offer, but he or she cannot buy until they sell their current home? Your realtor will negotiate these issues. For example, an agent can negotiate an escrow deposit and an agreement that the buyer must sell their current home before the deal closes.

When you sell your home, you must look at the entire process as both a seller and a buyer. You must get into the mind of the buyer. Try to identify what the homebuyer is trying to accomplish. Is it the price that is most important? Is it the neighborhood, location to schools, shopping, economic prospects or local taxes the most important factors? Once you identify what's on the buyer's mind, you'll be well on your way to selling your home fast.

Natural and Inexpensive Ways to Treat Your Skin                                  Written by J. Mom for www.mysocialmedia.network

People struggle with skin care issues at the adolescent stage. However, for some, the problem relents into adulthood. When faced with such a situation, most of us try all types of skin care routines and to be honest, most of these routines do not yield the expected results. We try to apply more sunscreen when going out and seeking the help of dermatologists sometimes to no avail. This prompts us to ask the question, what could we be doing wrong? Well, the good news is that you are not alone. It seems women have had to deal with skin issues since time immemorial. According to dermatologists, the number of women currently seeking skin care treatments has increased compared to the previous years. This increase can also be attributed to the quest by most women to have a younger looking skin. Unfortunately, a product that works well for one person may wreak havoc for another. Therefore, it is important to look past the labels and figure out other more natural and inexpensive ways to treat your skin. Some of the more natural ways you can try include:

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has antibacterial elements that make it quite popular among beauty companies. This plant has been seamlessly integrated into almost every beauty product we use. Aloe Vera has vitamin E, C and beta carotene which makes it a good anti-aging agent and gives the skin a nourishing feel.

Honey

Honey is rich in antioxidants which are important elements for slowing down aging. Its antibacterial quality makes it’s a good treatment option for people with acne. Its ability to lock moisture in makes it also an effective natural remedy for skincare.

Tea Tree Oil

According to a study by the Journal of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprology an amount as small as 5% of tea tree oil can effectively treat moderate acne.

Green Tree Extract

Green tea has mainly been associated with weight loss. However, what many are not familiar with is that this extract is also good for the skin. Using 2% of green tea extract two times a day has been found to treat mild acne in adolescents. Similar to honey, this natural remedy contains antioxidants that are essential for slowing down the aging process.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been linked to several skin benefits including moisturizing the skin, healing facial wounds, reducing inflammation and treatment of acne. People with dry skin are advised to use coconut oil to moisturize. However, on the downside, coconut oil can cause blockage of skin pores. Therefore, individuals with sensitive skins are required to avoid using coconut oil on the face to avoid breakouts.

It is important to note that regardless of their natural compounds, not all home remedies can work for everyone. What might work for one may produce different results for another. Therefore, the key is to find what works for you and stick to it. If these products are new to you, introduce them slowly instead of doing it all at once. This will allow an individual to identify any issues that may arise and prevent them before they accelerate.

New Trends and Innovations for Dentists                                                   Written bM. D. Scott for www.mysocialmedia.network

New trends and innovations change the way that dental practices conduct business every year, and it is important to stay on top of all the new trends. New trends mean there are new ways to flourish as a business. The practices that keep up with the latest in dental technology and intelligence trends can create more revenue by driving more business to their practice. Staying on top of the trends keep you ahead of your competition.

It is impossible to predict every trend each year, but it is vital to investigate anything that may have a positive effect on your business. Consumers demand personalized service, attention to detail, and quick access to products and services. Consumers are turning to technology more than ever, and a dental practice needs to study the ways to serve those consumers better. Here are some dental marketing intelligence trends to pay attention to that could give you a leg up on your competitors.

Be More Effective with Social Media

Being active on social media accounts such as Twitter and Facebook help you connect to your customers on a more personal level. Use these social media accounts to send out effective messages that provide interesting information and articles to the users. If the information that you are sharing is not useful or irrelevant, users may find it unappealing and will stop looking at your practice on social media. You must find a way to advertise your business while also providing a purposeful message to the readers.

Ensure Websites Are Optimized for Mobile Devices

Smartphones are starting to dominate the online market, and that will continue as time goes on. Test your websites to make sure that they can easily be navigated from a mobile device or tablet. New and modern patients are looking to check your website from their smartphones to learn about the practice, set up appointments, or even pay their bills. The best way for new patients to find you is to make sure your website is responsive to mobile devices.

Create Video Content to Share Among Patients

Video content is more likely to engage viewers and be shared by more people online. Videos can be simple like a tour of the office or waiting room, or you can provide general information on oral hygiene and other services. This could help your customers view your practice in a more positive way or even feel closer to the practice before they even have a chance to visit. It will not take up too much of your time, and it could be an effective tool to find new customers.

Optimize Your Website in Every Way

Whether your clients are checking your website from a computer, laptop, or a mobile device, it is important to keep the site updated with as much information as possible. This is the place where potential customers will spend time looking at your practice before making an appointment. Also, optimizing your website with local keywords that will help potential customers find you is more important than ever. Spending time and money to boost your local search engine optimization could pay off big.

Give Patients Access with Patient Portals

Customers want their service to be as personalized as possible, and patient portals give them that experience by allowing them access to their information, records, and medical history. This major step towards patient engagement allows patients to access their lab results, create appointments, update their personal information, and communicate with the practice. This revolutionary way of connecting with customers will increase both patient satisfaction and your business.
